Fence Posts
L-shaped and Y-shaped mild steel posts
Overview
MS angle fence posts are L-shaped and Y-shaped mild steel posts that hold up chain link, barbed wire and welded mesh fencing. They are cut to length with holes punched for the line wires, then either driven into the ground or set in concrete. A galvanized or painted finish protects the steel from rust. They are a low-cost, easy-to-handle alternative to tubular posts for farms, plantations, plots and boundary lines.
Where it is used

The angle shape resists bending and holds the fence line straight.
Holes for line wires or barbed wire make fixing quick and keep the wires evenly spaced.
Posts can have a pointed end for driving into soft ground, or a plain end for setting in concrete foundations.
Heavier angles are used at ends and corners, braced with struts and fitted with stretcher bars, to hold the fence tight.
Hot-dip galvanized or painted.
Cut to the fence height plus the depth in the ground.
