Mesh Fencing
Galvanized & powder-coated panels
Overview
Welded wire mesh fencing is made from steel wires electrically welded at every crossing, giving a rigid, flat panel that is hard to climb and hard to cut. It is supplied as modular panels and rolls, goes up quickly with minimal accessories, and can be built to heights of up to 20 ft. It is available in mild steel, galvanized (GI) wire and stainless steel, in light-duty to heavy-duty wire gauges.
Where it is used

Welded joints cannot be unravelled, and narrow openings make the panels difficult to climb or cut.
V-bends in the panels add stiffness and resist wind loading, so the fence stays flat and does not sag.
Automated, computer-controlled welding gives consistent strength.
No weaving to loosen or crack over time.
Panels can be fixed on many types of surface, with less manpower on site.
Open mesh lets wind pass through, reducing the load on posts.
Suitable as a base for CCTV cameras and intrusion-detection sensors.
Wire diameter, mesh opening, panel height and coating can be adapted to the project.
| Parameter | Anti-climb (358-type) mesh | Twin-wire panels | Standard modular panels |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wire diameter | 4.0 mm (horizontal and vertical) | Double 8.0 mm horizontal / 6.0 mm vertical | 4.0 mm or 5.0 mm |
| Mesh opening | 12.7 x 76.2 mm | 50 x 200 mm | 50 x 200 mm or custom |
| Tensile strength | 500 – 650 N/mm2 | 550 – 700 N/mm2 | 450 – 550 N/mm2 |
| Corrosion protection | Hot-dip galvanized + thermoplastic coating | Galvanized + polyester powder coat | Polyester powder coat, min. 60 microns |
| Best for | Prisons, substations, military and other high-security sites | Sports arenas, industrial zones, high-traffic areas | Schools, parks, solar farms, boundaries |
Anti-climb mesh: The narrow openings stop fingers and toes getting a grip and resist cutting with hand bolt cutters, while still giving a clear view for cameras. Twin-wire panels: Two horizontal wires sandwich each vertical wire, giving high rigidity and impact resistance.
